Vauxhall is supporting British motorsport as Official Vehicle Partner to this year’s JDS Machinery Rali Ceredigion, with a fleet of electrified vehicles set to support the event’s organising and safety teams.
Vauxhall will supply ten vehicles for the event, including electrified models from its New Astra and Grandland line-ups.
The New Astra and Astra Sports Tourer, which have recently launched in the UK, are available with electric, hybrid, plug-in hybrid, and petrol powertrains, while the Grandland is offered with three electric powertrains, along with plug-in hybrid and hybrid options available as well. The vehicles will be used by rally officials across key event locations, including headquarters, service areas, and to and from the stages.
Vauxhall’s presence at Rali Ceredigion also reflects its return to competitive motorsport through the ADAC GSE Rally Cup, where Welsh driver Ioan Lloyd is representing the brand behind the wheel of the all-electric Vauxhall Mokka GSE Rally car. Lloyd will compete on home soil at Rali Ceredigion in a bespoke-liveried Corsa Rally4, while his Mokka GSE Rally car will be on display on Aberystwyth Promenade during the event.
Charlie Jukes, Rali Ceredigion event manager, said:
“We are delighted to welcome Vauxhall as the official vehicle partner to Rali Ceredigion. This is a fantastic partnership between two organisations that share a commitment to innovation, motorsport, and a more sustainable future.
“Rali Ceredigion covers a diverse geographical area, and our organising and safety teams need reliable and efficient transport throughout the event. The introduction of Vauxhall’s electric and hybrid vehicles will help us reduce the emissions associated with our operations while continuing to deliver an event to the highest possible standards.”
Philip Douglass, Vauxhall Marketing Director, said: “As a British brand with a proud motorsport heritage, Vauxhall is delighted to support the UK’s premier rally event as Official Vehicle Partner to Rali Ceredigion. The event’s commitment to innovation and sustainability makes it a natural fit for our growing range of electric, hybrid, and plug-in hybrid models, which will help the organising team deliver the rally efficiently and responsibly.
"We’re also incredibly excited to see Welsh driver Ioan Lloyd competing on home soil, with his car sporting a bespoke livery for the Welsh Rally. Ioan is doing a fantastic job representing Vauxhall in the ADAC GSE Rally Cup, behind the wheel of the all-electric Vauxhall Mokka GSE Rally car, where he currently sits second in the standings."

This year’s Rali Ceredigion is a round of the FIA European Rally Championship, the FIA European Historic Rally Championship and the British Rally Championship and is set to host a record number of competitors. It runs from 4-6 September from its base in Aberystwyth.
