New Vauxhall Vivaro-e in Accrington Lancashire
With two battery options offering a 143 and 205-mile range, the 100% electric Vivaro-e takes last mile deliveries and urban projects in its stride. It charges to 80% in 30 or 45 minutes at a 100kW public charger. The instant torque makes easy work of the 1,226kg payload capacity and 1,000kg towing weight, and because there’s zero emissions, you can breeze in and out of cities with a £0 congestion charge. The Vivaro-e comes with an 8 year battery warranty and is 30% cheaper to maintain than a diesel van. It will also save you around £100 in fuel per month. Two trim levels are available for the panel van: Dynamic and Elite. You can also get a double cab in Elite. All models have rear parking sensors, automatic headlights and wipers and a 7” touchscreen. Elite models have a head-up display, navigation, side blind spot alert, adaptive cruise control and the useful FlexCargo load-through bulkhead.
The Vivaro-e has no gears to slog through and the electric motor delivers instant power and torque. The result is a smooth power delivery with no vibration. This is a much more relaxing driving experience than diesel.
The Vivaro-e has a 6.6m3 load volume and a payload capacity of 1,002kg to 1,226kg. Elite models have the FlexCargo load-through bulkhead. All models have twin sliding side doors and the single cab can swallow two Euro pallets.
The Vivaro-e is available with a 50kWh or 75kWh lithium-ion battery, offering a combined WLTP range of 143 miles and 205 miles respectively. You should get within 25% of these quoted WLTP figures in cold weather.
Living with it
